Background & Experience
Mark joined Smith, Adcock and Company LLP in 1999 and acts as the Quality Control Director.
Education
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1991. Shortly thereafter, he began his career as an employee of the state of Georgia and performed external audits and other services for governmental bodies located in the state. Those audits included local boards of education, technical institutes, colleges and universities, and departments of the state of Georgia.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant with over 24 years of experience in the accounting profession. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Organization Involvement
His primary duties at the firm include development and oversight of the quality control system, pre-issuance review of financial statement engagements, and annual internal monitoring of the quality control system.
